Chef 78 Review
4/5 Overall
Chef 78 is a pretty new chicken spot and I saw that they deliver on UberEats, so I went for it!

4/5 Super crispy with a spicy kick! I ordered the Crispy Chicken Chop from UberEats and it just got the mild. In the States, this would be a medium-hot level. The spices were full of heat and didn’t have any of the sweet notes you’d get from Hot Star Chicken so it’s a different experience. This thing is a full chicken breast (not flattened) and heavily breaded so every bite is super crispy!
I tried this out because of what the description said on UberEats F**kingDelicious. An absolute deal at NT$65 (US$2.09).
3/5 Sweet Potato Fries: Very thick cuts but wasn’t too crispy. I prefer it crispy, BUT in their defense it might be better fresh directly from Chef 78’s store front. I ordered this via UberEats and it’s amazing that these sweet potato fries were still good when delivered.
5/5 Value: For having fried chicken and sweet potato fries delivered directly to my door for NT$145 (US$4.66) this was an amazing deal. Delivery fee included.

Money In Taiwan
Tax Is Included In The Price
All displayed prices in Taiwan are the actual price. Tax is already included and for large purchases, tourists visiting Taiwan can get a 5% Taiwan VAT refund at the airport Tax Refund counter. Some shops offer this service too, but they will require your passport.
Taiwan Is Cash Only (For Most Small Shops)
The primary payment method for all transactions in Taiwan is cash. It’s very rare for small shops to take anything other than cash. It’s more common to see places accept the Taipei Metro Card as payment rather a credit card.
Supermarkets and convenience stores in Taiwan (7-Eleven, Family Mart) do not accept credit cards (at least not American credit cards). You can only make purchases by cash or by using your pre-loaded funds on your EasyCard.

Exchanging Money in Taiwan
You can exchange money at the airport or any bank in Taiwan. The rates vary from bank to bank and it can be a hassle to get a good rate. For additional information, check out my Exchanging Money In Taiwan Guide.
